Bella Musica carries a wide range of instruments made by the finest craftsmen from across the centuries. Each one has its own unique appearance, character, and sound. The older European instruments are widely regarded as the gold standard in craftsmanship and tonal quality.

Modern Chinese violins have also become remarkably impressive. Makers are sourcing wood from Siberian forests, recreating the cold-climate growing conditions that gave Stradivarius instruments their legendary resonance. We invite all prospective customers to come in and try our instruments in person.

Our luthier was originally trained as an engineer, which gives him a uniquely precise approach to the craft. He provides expert appraisals, diagnosis, and repairs for all bowed string instruments. Even instruments in seriously poor condition can be fully restored under his care.

Bella Freedman holds a PhD from the Conservatory of Music in Russia, where she graduated with honors. She served as Concertmaster and Manager of the Orchestra of Radio and TV for ten years. After emigrating to the United States, she continued teaching, and many of her students have gone on to join prestigious youth symphonies and perform at Carnegie Hall.

Research consistently shows that early musical training strengthens performance in mathematics and science. Many of our students have also received full university scholarships as a result of their musical achievements.

Bella Musica is centered around husband and wife team Carl and Bella Freedman, both accomplished violinists performing together since 1998. They are available as a string quartet, trio, duo, solo violin, or piano quartet and quintet.

For weddings, they carefully coordinate their repertoire with each part of the ceremony. Their broader repertoire spans baroque through modern classical, jazz standards, pop, and Latin. The agency also represents outstanding jazz musicians performing at venues including the Ritz Carlton, the Marriott, the Hyatt, and the St. Regis Monarch Resort.
